In most instances, you can use your health insurance for nutrition counseling visits. You must call and verify that you do in fact have benefits on your insurance policy for nutritional counseling. Click HERE for more specific directions when speaking to your insurance company!
Your health insurance company will usually cover nutritional counseling EVEN if you do not have an actual diagnosis but still would like to be seen for nutrition counseling and prevention of a disease.

At present, Regan is a preferred provider with United Healthcare/ UMR and Aetna.

Medicare only covers the visit if you have diabetes or renal disease. Medicare DOES NOT cover nutritional counseling for pre-diabetes or obesity in an outpatient setting at this time.

Most insurances are still covering telehealth services. However, it is possible your insurance plan may impose a cost-share for you to use this service. Please call your insurance company to confirm your telehealth coverage PRIOR to scheduling your visit.

If you have benefits from any of the insurance companies that Regan participates with, you can use insurance for your nutrition visit.
However, that does not mean all insurances cover nutrition. Therefore, you are required to call your insurance company prior to scheduling your visit to confirm your nutrition visits will be covered.
In the event, your claim is denied for lack of nutrition coverage our initial visits (60-minutes) are $150.00 and each follow-up visit (30-minutes) is $70.00.
